In an effort to snuff out terrorism once and for all, George W. Bush will crush the head of anyone he suspects of being a terrorist.
Well now that I've got my first real day of post-secondary education under my belt, I feel pretty good. My professors all seem pretty cool, and I met some good people. I've got a pretty good schedule too, Mondays and Tuesdays are half days, Wednesday and Thursday are kind of full... But that's okay, and I get Friday off!
Good times indeed.
Onto other news.
In a move to make the United States a more ethno-centric and "Safe" place, Tom Ridge, secretary of Homeland Security and Dubya have put in place a controversial new screening system. Now every person entering the U.S. who is not from the E.U. , Japan or Commonwealth countries gets their picture taken and fingerprints scanned.
Come to the U.S.A. ! Land of opportunity and be treated like a criminal and potential terrorist upon arrival!
This new initiative goes way overboard. What better way to tell the 'terrorists' that they're not winning the 'War'! Up the paranoia another notch!
ORANGE ALERT ! EVERYONE IS OUT TO GET US! THAT GUY LOOKS LIKE A TERRORIST! WE'LL LOCK HIM UP AND THROW AWAY THE KEY! THEN WE'LL BE SAFE! WE'LL TAKE AWAY OUR CITIZENS RIGHTS, ALL IN THE NAME OF DEMOCRACY!
This is crazy...
These so called terrorists have won... They don't have to execute another spectacular 9/11 style attack... Mission Accomplished. They've created a situation in which it's the average Americans own government that is doing the terrorizing.
BLANKET ALERT ! HIGH PROBABILITY OF A TERRORIST ATTACK ! WE DON'T KNOW WHERE ! WE DON'T KNOW WHEN OR HOW ! BUT THERE MIGHT BE AN ATTACK ! FLEE TO YOUR HOMES WITH DUCT TAPE ! SHIT YOUR PANTS UNTIL WE SAY EVERYTHING IS OKAY ! THE EVIL-DOERS ARE COMING !
The sad thing is that the average American is too ignorant or lazy to do anything about this sad, sad situation. They are being bullied and frightened by their own leaders, yet most are too complacent to even try and do anything about it.
Brazil has made me proud. Standing up to the U.S. is something that doesn't happen enough these days. They're going tit-for-tat with the U.S.. If the U.S. will treat all our citizens like criminals on arrival... We'll do the same ! Now any American traveling to Brazil must go through the same process, finger printing, getting your picture taken, and being treated like a potential threat right off the bat! TAKE THAT DUB !
Anyways, that was a fun rant. Make no mistake I don't dislike George W. Bush, it's more of a love/hate relationship. Probably more hate... But I do like his new ideas on going back to the Moon and proposed missions to Mars. It takes a bold man to go ahead with that kind of commitment. In all honesty I'd rather see Capitalist U.S.A. with a permanent presence on the Moon than the Communist Chinese. The lesser of two evils I suppose.
