QUOTE OF THE DAY : Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity. - General George S. Patton

SONG OF THE DAY : Louis Armstrong - Kiss to Build a Dream On.

LINK OF THE DAY : How is your hand eye coordination?

For it so falls out
That what we have we prize not to the worth
Whiles we enjoy it, but being lack'd and lost,
Why, then we rack the value, then we find
The virtue that possession would not show us
Whiles it was ours.

Bleh...

I haven't had the time or the inclination to update the site in a while. I, your humble narrator have been busy... I guess.

Well not really, but the weather is nice and I've been spending most of my time outside, instead of in the computer room. Gone is my winter pallor, instead my face has colour. Red at first, after I fell asleep on the hammock for 2 hours, but now my skin is full of vim.

I wrote that last week.

Now it's a week later.

My monitor was fried by lightning, so now I have a new sweet 17" LCD flatscreen. Beautiful. I also acquired a job. Grocery boy at Loblaws ! WOOO! Life is good.

So, it looks like George Lucas has Special Edition-ized his first film. THX1138. One of the first films to ever portray a Dystopian society, it's a brilliant work of technical directorship. Now old Georgie's Director's Cut makes the film into what he originally intended it to be. Whatever qualms you may have with Mr. Lucas over the Star Wars prequels, forget them. He's a gifted director and editor. Speaking of editing, this trailer for the THX1138 Director's Cut is damn slick, it was edited by Lucas, so there you go. Must see.

THX1138 Director's Cut Trailer

And with that, I'm spent.

QUOTE OF THE DAY : Only the wisest and stupidest of men never change. -Confucius

SONG OF THE DAY : Oakenfold - Ready, Steady, GO

LINK OF THE DAY : The Log of a Gamer.

We go to gain a little patch of ground
That hath in it no profit but the name.

Nothing major today. Just wanted to plug my own little pet project.

Enter the arena, if you think you're good enough to play.

I'm gone.

QUOTE OF THE DAY : Do nothing which is of no use. - Miyamoto Musashi

SONG OF THE DAY : Jurassic 5 - The Influence

LINK OF THE DAY : The Blog of an Average Iraqi

Doubt thou the stars are fire;
Doubt that the sun doth move;
Doubt truth to be a liar;
But never doubt I love.

Step into the looking glass. See what I see.

QUOTE OF THE DAY : "America is the only nation in history which miraculously has gone directly from barbarism to degeneration without the usual interval of civilisation." - Georges Clemenceau

SONG OF THE DAY : Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out

LINK OF THE DAY : I think this flick has potential.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more,
Or close the wall up with our English dead!
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility;
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger:
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood.

I guess it's been a while since an update. So I feel obliged to do so.

Much has happened since... April 23rd... wow that has been a while. But on to more pressing matters.

The Toronto Maple Leafs. The Leafs were slaughtered 7-2 by the Philadelphia Flyers this afternoon. Damn shame. The Flyers lead the series 3-2 now. I figure we can win the next game, as it is in Toronto. Home ice advantage has proven to be a great asset for us these play offs. Disgusting game today, it almost physically hurt me to watch it.

I went to see the Dalai Lama last week. Cool dude, very good ambassador for peace. That's all I can really say about him.

And school is over!!! At least until September. Exams went well, and I got my marks back. Which were better than I expected hehe, always a pleasant surprise.

I saw possibly the worst movie I've ever seen last night. Envy. Starring Jack Black and Ben Stiller. Horrible. It's only redeeming factor was Christopher Walken playing a crazy bum, aside from that... absolute plotless crap. Avoid at all costs.

Right now, my old friend from Halifax Matt Dyer is in Toronto on his way home. I haven't seen him in 8 years. It's fun showing people around the great city of Toronto. Crazy seeing old friends.

Straight and to the point. No rambling blog today.

Good day to you.

GO LEAFS GO!
